Case Study
The case study should written up as a word document and be between 3-6 pages double-spaced not

paper, every fact you state needs a citation to let the reader know where you found that information.
It should include an introduction to the environmental issue and its location, Then the next portion
should be about the oppcsing views (i.e. at least 3 cons and 3 pros, if you can only find cors, then
replace the pros with examples of solutions to the cons). The pros and cons need to be focused on
the environrneatal impact of the problem, not just how it’s affecting humans. What is it doing to the
ecosystems? Tie it to what you are learning in class. On the word document you should have: a title,
your name, the case study, and wort cited (APA or MLA). Once completed, submit it in the
appropriate droptrox folder. I will grade the paper within a week, in the meantime, yotl should work
on your presentation.
Presenting Case Study
As soon as you submitted your case study, you need to work on the next part of the assignment. You will need to present your case study to your assigned discussion group in an organized manner. The class will be divided into groups and you will be assigned to a specific group by the instructor, so as not to have to read and respond to all of &e classroorn projects. Your assigned group will be the only one visible to you, your group mates, and your instructor. Within your assigned group you will be able to view the other student’s’ presentations.
You will need to use PowerPoint or another presentation program to create an attractive presentation about your case study. This presentation should include at least, but not limited to: an introduction, explanation of the environrnental issue, opposing views on your topic, possible solutions, conclusion, and references (especially if you are using pictures that are not your own). {include on most slides graphs/figures/pictures/diagrams. Also, include a slide with2 discussion questions about your topic that each member of the group will have to answer and you will have to respond to. Make it appealing and informative for your classmates. While you will not be formally presenting this, your presentation should represent the sarne as line you would use if you were asked to orally present your project. Therefore, it will need to be thorough, complete, attractive, flow, make sense, etc. You will be graded on the presentation (see presentation grading rubric) and responses to your classmates’ presentations (see below under responses).
