I need to respond to this below in 300-400 words in APA format.
Qualitative and quantitative variables are used to analyze and describe an aspect of society. Statistics revolves around one or both of these variables. A qualitative variable is a variable that verbally describes an element or object. For example, the desk is brown, the desk is wooden, the desk is dirty. A quantitative variable is a variable that numerically describes an element or object. For example, the desk is 3 feet high, the desk is 5 feet wide, the desk has a weight threshold of 200 pounds. There are two kinds of quantitative variables, discrete and continuous variables. Discrete variables are variables that consist of only integers and has a set value meaning, no decimal can be present, and nothing can change the value. For example, if you were to count the amount of people that attended a church service you could not conclude that there were 275.15 people that attended, there would be a set value of X number of people. Continuous variables are variables that consist of rational numbers and has a changing value, meaning the variable can be 45.67 and based off of new data the value can change. The company I work for is The Shepherd’s Guide, according to the qualitative variables The Shepherd’s Guide is a Christian Business Directory, its headquarters is in Chesapeake, VA, and it helps Christian business grow. According to the quantitative variables The Shepherd’s Guide has an average renewal rate of 90%, its website receives over 1,000,000 hits a month Nationally, and the average cost per advertisement is $1,000. Qualitative and quantitative variables allow people to analyze any aspect of society in an effective and systematic way.
