This is the instruction for case question 1 alone.
Read and understand the case or question assigned. Show your Analysis and Reasoning and make it clear you understand the material. Be sure to incorporate the concepts of the chapter we are studying to show your reasoning. Dedicate at least one heading to each following outline topic:
Parties [Identify the plaintiff and the defendant]
Facts [Summarize only those facts critical to the outcome of the case]
Procedure [Who brought the appeal? What was the outcome in the lower court(s)?]
Issue [Note the central question or questions on which the case turns]
Explain the applicable law(s). Use the textbook here. The law should come from the same chapter as the case. Be sure to use citations from the textbook including page numbers.

2 a) Please identify where constitutionality was based on an interpretation of the Commerce Clause. What criteria should apply when establishing if Federal law is supreme? When should the States have the right to regulate?
2b) Please research the case of Quill v North Dakota. What were the facts and legal arguments of the case? Does the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment mean any State has jurisdiction over the activities of all companies doing business in the State? So having a website and soliciting business within a State even without having a bricks and mortar facility or employees or sales agents will afford jurisdiction to the State over a company?
2c) Please research the landmark Morrison and Lopez cases which were decided by the US Supreme Court. What were the facts of each case? What was the Court’s decision in each case? Do you agree with the reasoning of the Court?
Taxation of the Internet
Should the internet be subject to income or excise taxation? After all we do tax the use of telephone services and cable TV providers. This could be a tremendous source of revenue
